ART-ACT-BOX
The publication of the project approaches the subversive critical art practice through the methods and materials that artists used to activate the audience and criticize the system during the 60s and 70s

The publication of the interactive dance project “ART-ACT-BOX”, performed by dancers Zrinka Užbinec, Ana Kreitmeyer, Maja Kalafatić and Mar Medina in the period from 2016 to 2019, brings materials on the basis of which the performances were created (materials and methods of avant-garde artists and artist), documentation of 30 performed performances during 3 years (Zagreb, Barcelona, Novi Sad, Slovenj Gradec, Čakovec, Šibenk, Pazin, Jelkovec, Susedgrad, Vukovar, Bedekovčina, Split, Rijeka, Poreč, Sisak), and the final exhibition of the project at MSU Zagreb.
The author of the concept and exhibition is the visual artist Andreja Kulunčić, the author of the dance choreography is the contemporary dancer Zrinka Užbinec.
The texts in the publication were written by Tihana Puc and Irena Bekić, visual design by Dejan Dragosavac – Ruta. The publishers are MAPA and the Museum of Contemporary Art from Zagreb. This publication was printed with the financial support of the “Kultura nova” Foundation, the City of Zagreb and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
