News:
I feel… satisfied, discriminated, abused
women.index, a participatory project that explores how women feel, has been set up in Zagreb
On International Women’s Day 2024, a new iteration of the participatory project women.index was launched in Zagreb. After previous editions in Split, Naples, Belgrade, and Ljubljana, the project returns to the Croatian context through a series of activities including public citylight posters, radio segments, a digital campaign, and discursive programs in collaboration with the Zagreb City Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

As in earlier versions, women are anonymously invited to answer the question “How do I feel?”, choosing between three options — satisfied, discriminated, or abused — collectively creating a portrait of women’s social reality today.
The second segment of the project involves continuous updates on the statistical results, which are being shared via large public displaysin city squares, online platforms, and in the exhibition space of the Zagreb City Museum as part of the eponymous exhibition starting on April 15, 2025.
Project collaborators include Dunja Bonacci Skenderović, independent consultant on violence against women; Lana Bobić, feminist theologian; Dorotea Šušak, activist and Executive Director of the Center for Women’s Studies; and Nataša Bijelić, sociologist and expert associate at CESI – Center for Education, Counseling and Research.
