EQUALS — for the acceptance of diversity
The project was exhibited in over ten countries with similar problem of stereotyping of minority identities
The EQUALS collective is a group of women from Zagreb of various ethnic, religious, racial and sexual identities. The aim of their activity is directing attention to the presence of discrimination in Croatian society, and raising awareness on the importance of acceptance of diversity. The collective was initiated and led by visual artist Andreja Kulunčić, the other members wish to remain anonymous.
Since 2017, when the project “EQUALS — for the acceptance of diversity” was shown publicly in Zagreb, it has been exhibited in different countries, either in the form of public interventions and/or in a museum-gallery context.

The project was presented for the first time in a museum-gallery context in 2018 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb in the form of a billboard, animation and documentation of the public intervention of the work.
It was an exhibition of works from the Deutsche Art Collection Telekom “The Voice of the Artist / I Am The Mouth”. The curators of the exhibition were Nathalie Hoyos, Rainald Schumacher and Radmila Iva Janković.
